crap ! ! i did a terrible terrible mistake today. was changing the white 'tester' stickers of those toiletries today. there were like so many of them larh ! i even stayed back like until around 6.15 pm to complete all of them instead of knocking off at 5.45 pm lor. yiwen already completed her tasks and was waiting for me to finish mine. so i decided to hurry in order not to make her wait for me so long. it was the darnest mistake i could have ever done ! . .
this was what exactly took place :
i was left with two more testers to tear off the old white ' tester ' sticker and replace them with the new black ones. as i picked up the second-last tester bottle to paste the new sticker on it, ' piang ! ! ! ! ! ' i totally dropped it as the cap of the glass bottle slipped off it. there were two female customers standing behind me who shrieked, ' aiyoh ! ! '
embarrassed i was, and nowhere to hide my face, i stood there in cold sweat for a seocond or two. the best thing to do that popped into my silly peabrain was to run to call the cleaner whom i addressed her as 'auntie' to clear up the mess. veron, my sales manager and all heard the breaking of glass too from afar. and as i walked pass her, she told me that i HAD TO PAY FOR THE DAMAGE of the broken tester ! i was utterly stunned. i stared at her like an idiotic moron and softly mummbled an ' okay '. i had no choice. even if i didnt want to pay, could i say no ? i walked back to the place where i had broken the glass to see the price of it. and HELL ! it cost a bloody bomb. of S$49.00. 49 dollars ? ! i screamed inside my head. comparing the price of this particular product with the rest, it somehow is the most expensive one yet. sigh ! im gonna be so broke. why did i have to break the most expensive one ? why cant i break a cheaper one ? or even better, the plastic type.
i think veron`s gonna deduct the amount from my pay. oh well, thanks to my butter fingers and carelessness which resulted in such an awful situation i have to be stuck in right now.
but still, its a tester ! why pay the full price ? moreover, people have been using it. shouldnt it at least cost cheaper. even a forty is better than a forty nine. at least i can buy around 3 and a half bowls of bm with that amount saved.
all in all, I SHOULDNT HAVE STAYED BACK TO HELP any further. I SHOULD HAVE LEFT earlier and dont care about it. should have left the rest to the others to finish. yes ! im that stupid. urgh. even nora said i shouldnt need to pay for that. very well. . we shall see if they deduct my pay for the loss.
anyway, just to let you guys know, i`ve already like have my pay deducted twice. once because i took MC. and second, for the broken toilertry. its so pathetic larh !
